The Deuter Aircontact back system equally keeps the weight down, but above all creates ventilation across the back. The length of the back is adjusted via Clip & Loop system and ergonomic hip fins create a snug, comfortable fit while distributing the load effectively.

The hard-wearing ripstop body fabric made from performance fibers is also built to withstand the rigors of thru hiking.

• Deuter Aircontact: Reduced to the essentials, this lightweight pack expertly balances comfort and weight, so you can devote more energy to the trail. The lid can also be detached to reduce overall weight. The new Air Spacer mesh performs three functions in one: Comfort, cushioning and ventilation. These attributes make this a weight-optimized backpack. With the addition of the Clip & Loop adjustable back length it also offers a tailored fit and superior carry comfort over longer distances.
  
  
• PFAS Free: This product is free from PFAS (per-and polyfluoroalkyl substances). PFAS have water, dirt and grease repellent properties but they are persistent chemicals and harmful to people, animals, and the environment. Instead, Deuter uses durable water-repellent finishes (DWR) that are environmentally sound and harmless to human and animal health, and free from these ‘forever chemicals’.
  
  
• ClimatePartner Certified: By adopting more materials and technologies that have a smaller carbon footprint in our collections we are taking positive steps toward reducing our CO_² emissions. But despite our greatest efforts, it’s impossible to make products climate neutral. And so, we’ve teamed up with Climate Partner to offset any unavoidable CO_² emissions. From now on, the volume of emissions released by the production and transport of any ClimatePartner certified Deuter product purchased will be compensated for through voluntary offsetting and targeted investment in select social and climate protection projects.
